This is a well-established area with homes built between 1970 and 1999. There are also older homes that are built during and after the WWII era. There are also newer constructions built after the year 2000, which makes Woodbridge Hills a slightly newer neighborhood than Ramona Park. 3. West Portage

West Portage is located directly above Woodbridge hills and is another upper-middle-class neighborhood that offers an excellent family setting. Due to its proximity to Woodbridge Hills and similar style of homes, its lifestyle factors are highly similar. It is also a high-end neighborhood that has residents with executive-level careers. The homes are also well-established but not vintage, which appeals to young families who don’t want to deal with the issues that arise with older homes.
4. Oakland Hills Community

Tucked away south of Woodbridge Hills is a quiet, small neighborhood next to Oakland Hills Pond. Oakland Hills is built on a former golf course, so the 136 custom attached condos in this neighborhood are surrounded with greenery. Residents can choose between different floor plans that appeal to their needs and lifestyle.
There is also a community clubhouse that offers an outdoor pool, great room, exercise room, conference room, and patio. It is a popular place for community events and is open to all residents. The community is also near Portage Creek and natural wetlands, which offers the potential for wildlife spotting at any time. Although the neighborhood is relatively secluded from the rest of the city, amenities like shopping, restaurants, and recreation are just a short drive away.
5. City Center

Residents who are looking for homes that are suited for a modest budget will find affordable properties near Portage’s City Center. This area contains mainly medium-sized homes, small single-family homes of one or two bedrooms, and various types of apartments. This is the area that has the highest density of renters in the city. It is a great place to buy a starter home or to find an apartment for a temporary living situation. The homes are also as old as the properties in Ramona park, with many built between the 70s and 90s and a few residences built post World War II. This is a wonderful place to live more economically while having the advantage of being near plenty of amenities.
