Your Step-by-Step Guide to Moving Into a Storage Unit

Moving into a storage unit doesn’t have to be stressful. Follow these simple steps to make the process smooth:

Step 1: Choose the Right Unit

Assess Your Needs: Determine the size of the unit you need based on what you plan to store. Our size guide can help you estimate the space required. Select Your Unit: Once you’ve found the perfect unit, reserve or move in online, over the phone, or in person. We’ll confirm your details and provide you with all the information you need to make your move in easy.

Step 2: Prepare Your Belongings

Gather Packing Supplies: Make sure you have boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and other packing materials. Label your boxes clearly to make unpacking easier. Pack Smart: Place heavier items at the bottom of boxes and wrap fragile items securely. Disassemble large furniture if possible to save space.

Step 3: Move In Day

Check-In at the Office: When you arrive at the facility, stop by the office to complete any necessary paperwork and receive your access code or key. Access Your Unit: Use your access code to enter the facility and locate your unit. Our team will be on hand to answer any questions and provide assistance if needed. Unload Your Items: Start by placing larger items at the back of the unit and stack boxes on top of each other. Leave a walkway for easy access to your belongings.

Step 4: Secure Your Unit

Lock Your Unit: Ensure your unit is securely locked before you leave. You can use your own lock or purchase one from our office for added security. Update Your Contact Information: Make sure we have your current phone number and email address so we can reach you if necessary.

Step 5: Manage Your Account

Set Up Payment: Choose your preferred payment method, whether it’s online, over the phone, in person, or through AutoPay. Stay on top of your account to avoid any interruptions in access. Visit Your Unit as Needed: Access your unit whenever you need to during facility hours. Our secure, well-lit environment ensures your belongings are always safe.

Moving into your storage unit is a straightforward process, and we’re here to help every step of the way. If you have any other questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.
