10×15 Storage Unit
How Big is a 10’x15′ Storage Unit?
Let’s look at the numbers! A 10’x15′ is 10 feet wide and 15 feet long which equals 150 square feet. Many of our storage units have an 8 foot ceiling. Multiplying 150 square feet by 8 ft gives us 1,200 cubic feet of storage. This is equivalent to storing the contents of a two bedroom apartment.
What Can I Fit in a 10’x15′ Storage Unit?
Equivalent to storing a one bedroom apartment, which can include a bedroom set, a kitchen table and chairs, and some medium boxes.
How Much Weight Can I Fit in a 10’x15′ Storage Unit?
Many moving companies use weight as an estimate when performing long distant moves. Typically a 3 bedroom home weights between 8,000 and 10,000 pounds. Depending on the size of the items stored you may need a 10’x15′ or a larger 10’x20′ storage unit. We recommend going with a larger storage unit if you’re not sure which size to go with. It will make packing easier, especially if you need access to certain items throughout your move.
Can I Fit a Car in a 10’x15′ Storage Unit?
Some 2 door coupes will fit in these units but nothing else. You may be left with a few inches of space. Remember that the door has to come down as well so make sure you measure your vehicle before renting this unit. If you don’t mind storing your vehicle outside, many of our locations have parking spaces as well.
