    Easy to work with, and rental unit was clean upon arrival. Really easy to leave the unit as well! No need to return lock or keys which was a lot less hassle on my part.

Fleming Island is an unincorporated community in Clay County, Florida. It is on the west bank of the St. Johns River. It is 21 miles from Jacksonville, going southwest from the Jacksonville city center on Highway 17. It is a designated place by the U.S. Census, and the 2020 census count shows a population of 29,142. This number of people is about 2,000 more than the last census taken in 2010, so the population grew by 10% over the past decade.

Historically, the island was settled by an Irish immigrant, George Fleming, who gave the island his name. Fleming (1760 to 1821) got a land grant of 1,000 acres from the Spanish Governor of East Florida in payment for his military service.

In contemporary times, the city is best known as being a community for the wealthy from Jacksonville and the developments of Eagle Harbor, Pace Island, and the Fleming Island Plantation.

Fleming Island has many nice features and amenities. It is the second-most wealthy community in the Jacksonville area after Ponte Vedra Beach.
