About Valley Park, MO
Valley Park is in St. Louis County. The 2020 census counted 6,885 people living in the town. As a small community that is a suburb of a major metropolitan area, it enjoys the best of both worlds. It offers country-style living with big-city amenities.
Historically, this area was the home of the Native Americans for thousands of years before the European settlers invaded. The railroad brought a boom in development in the 19th and 20th centuries, making the town a manufacturing hub using rail connections and sending barge traffic down the Meramec River.
In 1917, the town was incorporated. Valley Park was developed as a summer resort and remains a popular destination for tourists today.
