Jersey Village is a small town in Harris County in the northwestern part of the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area.

It all started in the 1950s when some Houston real estate developers got together to build the community. They liked the green spaces in New Jersey and wanted to create a green oasis named Jersey Village on the outskirts of Houston at that time.

The city of Houston is surrounded seventy years or so later, and the area still retains its beauty and charm as a small village with a population of 35,372 (U.S. 2020 Census).
