  • Metamora Country Days: An annual festival stretching over two days near the end of summer, Metamora Country Days has become a much-anticipated tradition over 40-plus years. In addition to food and drink, crafts, activities, and a parade, the event's highlight is launching more than 20 colorful hot air balloons.
  • Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area: The state-operated Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area spans 723 acres surrounding Lake Minnewanna. It's one of the top destinations in the region for camping, hiking, fishing, and boating and is less than a 10-minute drive from Metamora.
  • White Horse Inn: A highlight of Metamora's historic district, the White Horse Inn is equal parts restaurant and history museum. The White Horse Inn was founded in 1850 and has operated in the same building ever since. A massive community restoration project took place from 2012 through 2014.
  • Seven Ponds Nature Center: Just minutes from Metamora, the Seven Ponds Nature Center is one of eastern Michigan's great wilderness areas. Its woods and wetlands are a haven for numerous bird species, making it a major attraction for bird watching, hiking, and kayaking.
